Spreadsheet tool
Open spreadsheets without Microsoft Excel. Preview any sheet, then export CSV or XLSX.
Excel Viewer opens .xlsx and .xls workbooks in the browser with multi-sheet support so you can switch tabs, preview rows, and review structure without Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. Sheets are read locally for private, install-free inspection.
Workbooks often contain several sheets, merged layouts, or leftover calculation tabs. Opening them online without signing into a cloud suite is useful on shared PCs, thin clients, and devices where installing Office is not allowed. This viewer loads the workbook in-page and lets you pick which sheet to inspect.
Dates and numbers may appear as formatted text depending on how the workbook was saved. If a column of dates looks odd after export, check the original cell formats in Excel, or convert the sheet to CSV UTF-8 and reopen with CSV tools for a flatter, more predictable table.
When you only need a printable snapshot, pair this viewer with Excel to PDF. When you need an API-friendly shape, use Excel to JSON. All of these flows emphasize browser-side handling so workbook contents are not required to leave your machine for basic preview.
Spreadsheet tools on ezToolFlow process CSV/Excel-style data in the browser when possible. Prefer UTF-8 CSV for best compatibility.
Upload a workbook within the recommended size limit. The file is read with browser libraries — no desktop Excel install.
If the file has multiple sheets, select the tab you need. Headers and rows appear in a table preview.
Confirm the right sheet and layout, then export via related converters (CSV, JSON, PDF) when you need another format.
Open vendor price lists or internal reports on a machine without Excel licensed.
Jump between summary and detail tabs to verify which sheet holds the live data.
Inspect sheets before converting to CSV or JSON so you export the correct tab.

About 20 MB is recommended so the browser stays responsive. Very large sheets may freeze on low-memory devices.
Modern .xlsx and legacy .xls files are supported for browser-side reading. Very old or exotic formats may need to be re-saved as .xlsx first.
No. The viewer reads cell values for display. Macros are not run, which is safer on untrusted files.
This is a viewer and export companion, not a full spreadsheet engine. Formula results already calculated in the file are what you typically see as values.
Preview and parse steps are designed to run in the browser so the workbook stays on your device for local viewing.
The active sheet may truly be blank, or data may sit on another tab. Switch sheets in the UI. Completely empty sheets cannot be previewed as a table.
Encrypted or password-locked files generally cannot be opened here. Unlock or remove protection in Excel, then upload the unprotected copy.
Yes. Excel Viewer is free to use on ezToolFlow. Guests and free accounts may have daily limits on some tools; premium tiers can raise or remove those limits. AI tools may also spend credits.
For browser-based tools, processing runs on your device when possible and files are not uploaded for conversion. Optional accounts, usage limits, and AI features are described in our Privacy Policy.
No for most tools — you can start as a guest. An account helps keep higher daily limits and saved work (for example AI resumes).
