This is not a pixel-for-pixel bit-copy of the original container: the tool re-encodes to JPG, PNG, or WebP. Slight size changes are normal. Choose high quality for important photos. PNG is ideal when you need lossless graphics; JPEG/WebP suit everyday photos.
