Score password strength with tips.
Password Strength scores a password you type using simple, transparent rules—length, mixed case, digits, and symbols—so you can spot obviously weak choices before you reuse them. Scoring runs in the browser; your password is not uploaded for analysis.
Strength meters are heuristics, not cryptographic proofs. This tool awards points for common good practices: adequate length (with extra credit for longer strings), both lower and upper case, at least one digit, and at least one non-alphanumeric character. The bar and label (from very weak to excellent) summarize that score so you can improve a candidate quickly.
A “strong” meter reading does not mean a password is unique, unguessable against breach dictionaries, or safe if it is a famous phrase. Real security still depends on uniqueness per account, avoiding known breached passwords, and preferably using a password manager with random generation. Privacy note: evaluation is client-side. Still, avoid typing your real production master password or banking credentials into any website out of habit—use throwaway or candidate strings when testing. Browser extensions and shoulder-surfing remain risks even when the network is not involved.
