Calculator tool
Body mass index with category labels.
BMI Calculator on ezToolFlow computes body mass index from height in centimeters and weight in kilograms, then labels the standard adult category (underweight, normal, overweight, or obese). Fast, private, and free for a quick educational check.
Body mass index (BMI) is weight in kilograms divided by height in meters squared (BMI = kg / m²). This tool takes height in cm and weight in kg, converts height to meters, and shows BMI to one decimal place along with a simple category band commonly used for adult screening: underweight below 18.5, normal under 25, overweight under 30, and obese at 30 and above.
BMI is a population-level screening number—it does not measure body fat directly and can misclassify muscular athletes, older adults, pregnant people, and children (who need age/sex-specific charts). Use the result as a starting conversation point with a healthcare professional, not a diagnosis.
Values are calculated in your browser when you run Calculate. No special install is required. For health decisions, pair any number with clinical judgment, not a single index alone.

Provide height in centimeters and weight in kilograms in the input fields.
Click Calculate to compute BMI and see the category label for the standard adult ranges.
Note the numeric BMI and category, then treat it as an educational screening figure—not a medical diagnosis.
Log approximate BMI over time alongside other habits, not as the only health metric.
Show how height and weight combine into BMI for classes or content examples.
Bring a rough BMI figure to a checkup discussion—your clinician may use different tools.

Quick answers about tools, privacy, limits, and pricing.
BMI = weight (kg) ÷ (height in meters)², with height entered in cm (converted by dividing by 100). Categories use common adult cutoffs: underweight < 18.5, normal < 25, overweight < 30, obese ≥ 30.
No. The BMI Calculator is educational only and is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. BMI has known limits and does not replace evaluation by a licensed healthcare professional.
Standard adult cutoffs are not appropriate for all groups. Children need age- and sex-specific percentiles; highly muscular people may have high BMI with low fat. Ask a clinician for the right assessment.
BMI is computed in your browser for this tool. Still avoid sharing sensitive health data on any site you do not trust.

For browser-based tools, processing runs on your device when possible and files are not uploaded for conversion. Optional accounts, usage limits, and AI features are described in our Privacy Policy.
No for most tools — you can start as a guest. An account helps keep higher daily limits and saved work (for example AI resumes).
Close other heavy tabs, use a smaller input file, and try Chrome or Edge on desktop. Very large files can stress browser memory.
Yes, the page is responsive. Complex media or large PDFs still work better on desktop because of memory and CPU limits on phones.
BMI Calculator runs in the browser so you can complete a task without installing apps. Desktop software may still be better for very large batch jobs or offline-only environments.
